Studio Green is a company that designs, builds, and services ponds, waterfalls and all other water features. Our crew is experienced, educated and most importantly creative. We believe no two ponds or water features should be the same, and no idea is too farfetched. By working closely with our clients and listening to their needs we aim to leave them with a finished product beyond their expectations.
Key Benefits of Service
Research has proved that simply looking at water (a stream, waterfall, etc.) for some time can restore blood pressure and heart rate to normal levels. Having a water source in the vicinity helps lessen the pain experienced by patients recovering from surgeries.

If possible install the feature in an area that is not subject to long hours of direct sunlight. Sun exposure increases the risk of algae and other unwanted plant growth in the water. The sun will also cause rapid evaporation. If your yard is very open consider planting around the edge of the pond or using potted plants to provide shade for at least 50 percent of the feature.
When you fill up the pond or fountain be sure to use distilled water. Hose water is subject to many chemicals that can cause problems with pumps and other moving parts over time. The chemicals, such as fluoride and calcium, can also cause algae growth.
Check your pond or other feature daily for debris that may have ended up in it. Remove twigs and leaves to ensure the water does not become tainted and any moving parts are not damaged. Using a small aquarium net is a great way to get the job done quickly.
For the cleanest feature change the water every 6 months. This doesn’t mean drain the whole pond though. Remove and replace about 15 percent of the water with fresh distilled water. This will help remove organic waste such as pollen, dirt and bird droppings. This will reduce the chances of unwanted algae growth and restores the chemical makeup of the water.

Water is Life
There are many benefits of adding water features to a landscape design. It provides a feel of a natural environment. You can recreate a stream, birdbath, or a simple pond in your backyard. Since a water source attracts different kinds of birds, small animals, and insects, kids can learn a lot simply by observing them. Don’t worry too much even if your backyard is small in size. In fact, water features need very less space for installation. And you need not worry about wastage of water either. The water needed to maintain a piece of lawn is greater in comparison to a water feature which covers the same surface area.
